Operator-Oriented Design
Network Management is the essential first step to provide services with quality and facilitate trouble shooting with efficiency. CTS’s FTTX solutions are fully Layer2+ managed with different management interface: Web GUI, Telnet CLI, and SNMP.
Up to 10G Ethernet
With the rapid growing usage of smart phones, tablets, and increasing demand of online video, CTS provide FTTX solutions up to 10G Ethernet to ensure our customers in providing the ultimate network experience to their subscribers.
Triple Play
CTS’ FTTX solution is designed specifically to meet our customers’ needs of providing Triple Play services. Functions such as IGMP snooping, VLAN and QoS ensures the best service quality and thus the best user experience of Video, Internet and VoIP services.
The active FTTX network can be divided into a user side (customer premises equipment, CPE) and a central office (CO) side. The CPE terminates the network at the users, including places like homes and offices, providing a conversion of the communication signals to services that the user can access. The CO, on the other hand, are often designed as a transport network to connect the users to service providers. The network is managed through the network operations center, and the distance between the CO and the CPE can range up to 120km or more.
CTS – Advanced FTTx Solutions
In the rapidly evolving landscape of broadband technology, FTTx solutions have become essential for delivering high-speed internet access to homes and businesses. CTS leads this transformation by offering robust FTTx solutions that meet the increasing demand for reliable and efficient connectivity. With over two decades of industry expertise, CTS has developed a comprehensive range of products that ensure optimal network performance and user satisfaction.

FTTx, an acronym for Fiber to the x, includes various fiber-optic communication delivery methods like FTTH (Fiber to the Home), FTTB (Fiber to the Building), and FTTC (Fiber to the Curb). These technologies are crucial in supporting the growing need for bandwidth-intensive applications, such as online video streaming, cloud computing, and smart home devices. Our FTTx solutions are designed to meet these demands, providing up to 10G Ethernet capabilities that ensure a seamless user experience.
A notable feature of CTS offerings is the operator-oriented design of its managed solutions, which include Layer2+ managed Ethernet switches and CPE switches. These products are equipped with advanced functionalities such as IGMP snooping, VLAN, and QoS, which are essential for delivering high-quality Triple Play services—comprising internet, video, and VoIP. This enables service providers to offer their subscribers an unparalleled network experience, minimizing downtime and enhancing overall satisfaction.
The architecture of an active FTTx network typically involves a central office (CO) and customer premises equipment (CPE). The CO serves as a hub, connecting users to service providers, while the CPE facilitates the conversion of communication signals to accessible services at the user’s location. CTS solutions are designed to bridge the gap between these two critical components, ensuring efficient signal transmission over distances of up to 120km or more.
CTS commitment to innovation and strategic partnerships has positioned the company as a leader in the FTTx domain, particularly in regions like Europe and Sweden. By continuously advancing their product offerings, CTS not only addresses current connectivity challenges but also anticipates future needs, driving the evolution of broadband technology and enhancing digital experiences for users worldwide.
